About Wendy Ann Greenhalgh
Wendy Ann Greenhalgh is a writer, artist and arts and literature educator, with a degree in Fine Art and an MA in Creative Writing from the University of Chichester. Her short fiction and poetry has been published in magazines, anthologies and online. Fiction and poetry credits include Stinging Fly, Mslexia, Flash The International Short Short Magazine, Bare Fiction, Ink Sweat & Tears and Friction Magazine. Her non fiction book on Creative Mindfulness is published by Leaping Hare Press. She has exhibited her films, photographs, texts and installations in the UK and Europe.
As an experienced mentor, teacher and workshop facilitator she’s had the privilege of supporting and encouraging others to explore language, write, draw, take photographs and discover their creativity. As a creative writing tutor she's worked with adults, children and families in schools, colleges, adult education centres and art galleries on a variety of projects, and has worked with arts and culture organisations all over the UK. She runs New Writing South's popular How To Write Fiction course and works with the Creative Writing Programme. She's also the facilitator and project manager of Drawn To The Page, a creative partnership project between New Writing South and 3 South Coast galleries.
As Story Scavenger she was mentored by the National Association for Literature Development and the Found Materials Network to develop her Story Scavenger approach to creative writing training and blogs and runs her own Creative Writing Workshops under this name. Wendy is also a teacher of Creative Mindfulness - a mindful approach to creativity that emphasizes process and an open, exploratory attitude to creative practice, helping practioners enjoy creating more and move beyond creative blocks with greater ease.
