About Peter Crockett
I graduated from Hull University with a degree in French Language and Literature, many moons ago, and honed writing skills with the Open University (receiving a distinction in Advanced Creative Writing). Publishing credits are St Valentine’s Sting (Every Day Poets, 2011), Grumpy Xmas which won the Lightship Flash Fiction prize in 2011 and The Free Lunch which was shortlisted and published in the Lightship Anthology in 2012. Since then I have been working on a novel and a series of short stories. My chief interest is the dark side of humanity manifested in the malevolent workings of the mind. The aspiring hoped-for benefit of belonging to New Writing South would be peer support and positive criticism as an antidote to writer’s myopia.
