About Writers' Hubs
Show or hide
Writers' Hubs are a network of regular meetings for members and other creative writers in venues in the region.
Working in partnership with host venues and local authorities, the first Writers' Hub opened at the New Theatre Royal, Portsmouth in 2011. Further Writers' Hubs have since opened in Rye, East Sussex in partnership with The School Creative Centre, and Hampshire at the Berry Theatre, Hedge End.
Writers' Hubs offer the chance to informally meet other writers, listen and meet with guest writers, and once established, allows the ability for each hub to plan and curate their own events supported by New Writing South and hub partners. All writers are welcome to attend.

Oct 19th – Writer Lynne Rees who will be discussing, among other things, her new book The Hungry Writer. She says of it: “…. life stories, imaginative prose, poems, recipes and writing prompts have found their way from blog to book so there's probably something for everyone there! I'm an eclectic writer myself - novelist, poet, editor, tutor, flash fiction writer, psycho-geographer and blogger - so hopefully I have something to say to writers of all genres”
Portsmouth Writers' Hub is back! They will be meeting at Le Café Parisien on the last Thursday of every month. For more information about upcoming hub events visit their Facebook page here.
