With Laura Wilkinson and Beth Miller
Marketing yourself and pitching your work is a crucial part of being a writer. How do you prepare a compelling pitch, write a great synopsis/covering letter, build your brand and effectively piece together your writing identity?
Beth Miller has published three novels and two non-fiction books. Her fourth novel will be published in 2020. She teaches on New Writing South’s Creative Writing Programme, and also works as a one-to-one book coach, guiding writers at all stages, including advising on and improving their submissions to agents and publishers.
Laura Wilkinson has published six novels for adults and numerous short stories. Her contemporary novels are published by award-winning independent press Accent, including Crossing the Line (Welsh Books Council Book of The Month), The Family Line, Redemption Song and Skin Deep. Alongside writing, Laura runs workshops on craft and has spoken at literary events nationwide. Over the past eight years she’s worked as a creative writing tutor for organisations including New Writing South and West Dean, and as a structural editor and mentor for leading literary consultancies, coaching writers to competition shortlistings and publication.
