Call for writers interested in developing transmedia stories

One000plateaus in partnership with The Front Room are seeking expressions of interest from writers based in Portsmouth/Hampshire and surrounding areas to work on the development of an Arts Council England (ACE) funded transmedia story to be delivered in autumn 2019.

The role of the writers group will be to

  • devise a story bible,
  • contribute to the development of interactive experience design
  • script writing for podcasts
  • devise an immersive theatre experience as part of the finale of the story

To participate you will need to commit to attending regular writer’s meetings in Portsmouth starting in February. Additionally you will be required to participate in three  workshops designed to support the develop of skills in: collaborative and team writing, transmedia storytelling, interactive and gamified fiction writing.

This is a voluntary role within the project team, however we will be providing professional mentorship, a series of writing development workshops and the opportunity to work on an ACE funded project in a new emerging field of transmedia storytelling. Travel expenses may be available for those travelling in and out of Portsmouth where the project is based.

In the first instance, we are seeking expressions of interest so if this is something you would like to find out more about then send an email to Roy Hanney roy.hanney@solent.ac.uk with a brief resume and a short statement about why you would like to be involved.
