Comedy Women In Print prize finalist Kathleen Whyman talks about her approach to writing comedy; using humour to support a story; comedy genres; timing, delivery and language; the rule of three; finding inspiration; and pitfalls to avoid.
After 90 minutes, you’ll have the tools you need to embrace your inner comedian and craft prose that’ll have your readers laughing out loud. (LOL some might say, but that phrase is never going to catch on!)
About the tutor
Kathleen Whyman is a bestselling author of relatable, humorous women’s fiction and has been shortlisted for the Comedy Women in Print prize.
She writes for all the multi-tasking, mentally-overloaded women who have put themselves on the subs bench for the sake of their family, and are beginning to realise that they don’t have it all – they do it all! Her fourth book, The Mother of All Comebacks, is out now.
Kathleen also mentors authors, runs writing groups and is an events host. She regularly interviews authors at events, chairs panels and teaches writing with humour workshops.
Kathleen lives in Hertfordshire with her husband, two teenage daughters, and a magically refilling laundry basket.
