This year, New Writing South and The Creative Writing Programme are proud to support Hastings Litfest. This year the festival takes place from 30 August to 1 September 2019.

Come and visit us at the Festival Bookfair in the lovely East Sussex College on Saturday 31 August. Beg, borrow or steal a place at the State of Publishing event, a timely discussion about publishing in the 21st century, chaired by Danuta Kean and featuring a panel of industry experts.

Highlights of Hastings Litfest include conversations with writer and musician Tracey Thorn, Richard Blair, son of George Orwell on his father’s legacy. TV presenters Alice Roberts and Lucy Cooke and many local authors feature in a range of events from workshops and panel discussions to open mics, performances and readings. Check out the full Festival programme for Hastings Litfest here.
