New Writing South is delighted to announce that it is one of four UK literature organisations to be awarded a British Council International Development Fund grant for 2019. We will use these funds to host a Polish LGBTQ+ writer in residence in the Autumn of 2019. We are working on a programme of regional events and activity to support this residency, and will be releasing more details as they emerge.
The British Council’s International Development Fund grants are intended to develop audiences for international literature in the UK, enable more UK literature organisations to work with international artists, and to actively support professional development in this area.
