Writing opportunity: new digital trail in Hastings

 In News & Features

Do you live or work in Hastings or have a connection with the Trinity Triangle area?

Would you like your writing to be part of an interactive digital trail in Hastings?

New Writing South is looking for ten writers, of all abilities and experience, to take part in writing fiction, life writing and poetry.

A combination of short stories, short prose and poems inspired by people and places in Trinity Triangle, Hastings will be loaded, as a mixture of text and audio, onto The Trinity Triangle website and app and become part of the experience.

The ten writers who are selected by our panel will each receive £200 for their finished work at the end of the project.

We will be hosting a three-hour workshop for the ten successful applicants. We will outline the detail of the project, experience Trinity Triangle and start working on our pieces. A second workshop will be held with an editor to provide feedback and help participants finalise their work.

Users will be able to download a map with a library of content relating to the site. Users will visit Trinity Triangle and use the map to guide them through the site-specific content which they can view / listen to on their mobiles.

Workshop dates for selected writers

  • 21 July, 10.30am – 1.30pm at Hastings Library
  • 18 August, 10.30am – 1.30pm at Hastings Library
